THE YES MA'AMS
The Yes Ma'ams is an American girl band based out of Atlanta, comprised of Privacy. Secret and Slander. The girls are supported by the creative collective, Etcetera Production Group. I've participqted in creative direction for the girls, from conceptualizing photoshoots, building story-based narratives, as well as design assets for promotional marketing, cover art and design.

RESEARCH
Blend the sexiness of Vanity 6, the cool of TLC and the fun of the Spice Girls, and you've got The Yes Ma'ams. These bold ladies style merges elements of the glamorous nostalgia and the edginess of the cutting edge for a world, look and feel that is all their own. And the art reflects that.
DESIGN
Designing for The Ma'ams is a fun time because it's totally collaborative. I love to get everyone's ideas and input. I also love collaborating with designer Dee Coleman on many of our assets. We've done sevaral assets together for this project by bouncing raw Photoshop files back and forth between eachother.
DEVELOPMENT
We work on assets for the girls one project at a time. Because this partnership is on-going, I love being able to develop ideas and concepts, not just with the creative team, but with the girls too.
CONCEPT
The concepts always come from a piece of obscure nostalgia. A reference that is recongizable to some, but not to the untrained eye. Conceptualization always comes with a reference point and then blending them with new ideas.
