I've been close to the Wondaland family for quite some time now, but it was an honor to have them ask me to design cover art for Janelle Monáe's "Dance Apocalyptic," the second single from her second studio album, The Electric Lady.

RESEARCH
I loved meeting with the Wondaland team, so sitting down and having conceptualization conversations was a piece of cake. The team is very articulate about what they're looking for, and so this process was a breeze.
CONCEPT
Janelle specifically asked for a cover the felt reminiscent of Prince's iconic 1999 cover. So, I wanted to modernize it a bit and give two different color options. Janelle liked both, so we used both on different platforms.
